Any musician will tell you that performing for an audience is probably the most important, exhilarating, and fun thing to do! We started this quintet to bring more music to the community, to provide our audiences with a classy and enjoyable musical experience outside of the symphony hall. You can find LCQ performing our unique custom arrangements all over San Diego, from pop up concerts in Liberty Station or Balboa Park, to more formal shows in local amphitheaters, to educational programs at libraries. We are also available for hire to provide "driveway concerts" for your neighborhood!
What to Expect at an LCQ Concert
You never really know what might be in store for you at our public concerts. If you're joining us in the summer you can probably count on hearing some patriotic medleys, in the fall we bring out our Halloween favorites, and over winter we normally have some cheerful and fun holiday tunes. We blend those in with our favorite movie and tv themes, jazz, Broadway hits, pop covers, and traditional classical music. LCQ is always rehearsing new arrangements, and with well over 600 pieces of music in our library, there will always be something new to enjoy. We do create custom sets based on location, and work with event and festival planners for larger scale concerts to create an overall theme and ambiance to the location.
When Are Our Concerts?
Great question! And this website, unfortunately, probably won't tell you when or where our concerts are, since it isn't updated as often as our Facebook or Instagram is. But - fear not - LCQ has a presence on those powerful Social Media apps and you can follow us to find out where and when we will be performing!
Alternatively, if you long for some amazing music right now, you can listen to us on our SoundCloud!
Finally, we are of course available to come to you and perform live at your house, in the driveway for the neighbors, or in a local park! We are happy to custom arrange a setlist, including music & some corny dad jokes from RB, which will bring a huge smile to the faces of everyone in the area. Feel free to reach out via email or our contact form!
