​Last weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of working at the newly renovated Lafayette Hotel & Club, and it’s safe to say — we were completely swept away. The transformation of this historic San Diego landmark is nothing short of breathtaking. The site sits on an entire city block and surrounds their exceptional deck and pool, with plenty of guest rooms and suites, numerous restaurants, bars, and their very own underground speakeasy-style club called LouLou's.

Walking through the doors feels like stepping back into old Hollywood. The entire property radiates a golden-age charm — from the art deco lighting and vintage details to the soft velvet lounges and warm, moody ambiance. You half expect to see Frank Sinatra leaning against the bar or Marilyn Monroe gliding across the dance floor.

The wedding reception took place in LouLou’s Room, an intimate space that perfectly captures the hotel’s signature blend of elegance and nostalgia. The acoustics were lovely, the atmosphere electric, and the guests truly embraced the spirit of the evening. It’s one of those venues that doesn’t just host music — it becomes part of the performance itself. The historic clam shaped bandshell and sunken dance floor is such a cool vibe!
