"Incredible! Dan was amazing in helping me gather a trio with an opera singer that could play a variety of songs for my father's Memorial Service. I had a very specific playlist that, not only did they learn for the occasion, but they did a spectacular job in playing every piece with perfect timing. All of the guests were moved and are still complimenting me on how wonderful the ceremony turned out. Dan is professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for making his service so special!"
San Diego Funeral Service Music
It is our honor to perform meaningful and uplifting music at memorial services, funerals, and celebrations of life. While these events are often somber times for family and friends, gathering to remember those we loved and lost is incredibly important, and the presence and warmth of music helps to set the tone for the event to uplift spirits and provide memories for those grieving.
The Left Coast Quintet has been asked to perform at these emotional events on many occasions, both immediately following a passing, or a year later for a memorial. We have a wide variety of music appropriate for celebrations of life, and we will work closely with you to find a theme that will honor and represent your family. From beautiful classical melodies, to favorite film scores, to soft pop covers of their favorites songs, we can easily incorporate ourselves into the event.
While we understand that many of these events are unplanned, we ask for as much notice as possible to ensure we can gather our musicians and develop a program. We are comfortable to perform at private residences, houses of worship, parks, meeting halls, funeral homes, and cemeteries.

What to Expect at a Memorial Service
Every memorial service is different, and the mood set is usually determined both by how the family wants to remember or celebrate the life of the departed. Typically for funerals, the beautiful and melodic sounds of classical music lend themselves well to the somber mood, and family members gathering to share their final farewells.
At memorial services and celebrations of life held at later dates, clients mainly ask that we provide more of an upbeat or jovial atmosphere, where family and friends can gather to share memories of good times. We have been asked to perform Broadway and opera, light jazz, and other more upbeat musical styles at these gatherings.

We have three ensembles available for memorial services:
- Our primary wind quintet brings a full sound as well as a wide variety of musical styles. The full sounds of the group will be easily heard both indoors and at outdoor venues.
- Our wind trio is versatile and appropriate for smaller gatherings.
- Our wind duet has a limited amount of music but is great for small spaces.

"Dan was a pleasure to work with. He responded to my numerous inquiries in a timely manner. The music provided at my father's Celebration of Life was LOVELY and I received many compliments. I couldn't ask for anything more!"
