Wedding Music at the Crossings in Carlsbad
The Crossings at Carlsbad is one of those wedding venues where the view does a lot of the decorating for you.
Set among the hills and golf course in Carlsbad, the property looks west toward the Pacific Ocean, with a large outdoor ceremony lawn that takes full advantage of the view. We've been performing weddings here since 2019, when one of our couples first brought us to The Crossings and the venue team gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the property.
We were impressed then, and we're always happy to come back.
The clubhouse has lots of stone, wood, big windows, and high ceilings, giving it plenty of character without feeling overly formal. Outside, the ceremony lawn overlooks the surrounding hills and golf course toward the coast, and the patio makes for a natural place for guests to head afterward for cocktail hour.

Weddings at The Crossings
One of the things we like about The Crossings is how easily a wedding can move through the different spaces.
You can have the ceremony outside on the lawn, send everyone upstairs to the patio for drinks and appetizers, and then move inside for dinner and dancing. Guests get to enjoy the views during the parts of the wedding when they're outside, while you still have a full indoor ballroom for the reception.
The ballroom itself has high ceilings, large windows, and a big stone fireplace, so it doesn't have that closed-in feeling you sometimes get in a traditional hotel ballroom.
There's also a very practical advantage for couples with guests coming from outside San Diego: you're in Carlsbad. There are hotels and resorts nearby, the beach isn't far away, and yes, you're basically next door to LEGOLAND.
We're not saying your wedding guests have to go to LEGOLAND....we're just saying the option exists.

The outdoor ceremony lawn is a great setting for our wind quintet. We can play as guests arrive, perform the couple's selections for the wedding party and processional, and then send everyone off with something fun for the recessional.
Afterward, we can move upstairs with the guests and continue playing for cocktail hour.
That's where we can completely change the music. Our library includes classical music, jazz, Broadway, Disney, movie and video game soundtracks, pop, rock, and plenty of other music guests don't necessarily expect to hear from a flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon.
Because we've performed here before, we also know the property and how the different parts of the wedding fit together. We know where we're going, where we can set up, and what it's like moving from the ceremony into cocktail hour.
