Weddings at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park
If you're an adventure seeker, an animal enthusiast, or looking for a really unique venue for your wedding, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park might be exactly the place to go! There are so many different places in the park to have your ceremony and reception, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, unique animals, and lots of fun!
Beyond the fact that you're able to get married at a zoo (which is awesome), your guests also will have entry to the park for the entire day pre-ceremony. There are so many things to do and see at the safari park that first timers or seasoned zoo visitors will have a really good time, and arrive to your ceremony with huge smiles already!
The event staff on site can take care of almost everything (minus the decorations), and they have been really great to work with. The first time we performed here, we played live for the ceremony at the Lagoon Overlook, then moved over to the Sambutan Longhouse at the Tiger Trail. We performed a ton of Disney and other movie music that related to the park (think: Lion King!). We really got to see a large segment of the exhibits going between the sites, and had a blast being there. Most recently we performed for prelude, ceremony, and cocktail hour at the Kijami Overlook, right on the savanna, and got to watch all of the animals (rhinos, giraffes, water buffalo, and so many more) roam past us during the celebrations!
