The Scripps Seaside Forum is a quaint ocean front property right next to the pier in La Jolla. It boasts a stunning Pacific Ocean view from their lawn and patio, and a unique indoor space perfect for receptions and dinner. You can walk right out on to the beach from the ceremony site! The pictures you can get from this location are amazing, and your guests will really enjoy the ambiance of this perfect San Diego wedding venue.
The best part about this venue is that you can have an oceanfront wedding, while remaining on a firm lawn. I know a lot of people don't want to get their feet sandy or ruin their nice clothing, so this is a great compromise. If you do want to hit the sand - it's just a few stairs away.
This is a UCSD facility, and comes with some rules you should know about. First off, all your vendors must be licensed and insured (and honestly, all your vendors should be licensed and insured anyway!!). Parking can be a bit tricky, and I'd suggest either buying out the parking lot on site, telling your guests to find street parking, or easiest of all - have a bus transport everyone there and back to the hotel. It's safe and easy that way, everyone can party and have fun knowing they don't have to drive home!
We have some pretty intimate knowledge of this location, one because we've performed here on numerous occasions, but more importantly, one of our ensemble members was married right here! Scripps Seaside Forum really is a magical place and it is so fun getting to work there. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about the property or setup for events and weddings!
