You know what's great about being outside in San Diego? The weather! It is perfect here almost year round - with the exception of some really hot days last month. We've taken full advantage of the beautiful night time cooler weather to do a little outdoor rehearsals in some local parks, happily going through plenty of new arrangements of music while also providing some entertainment for families who were enjoying their time.
No, these weren't "concerts" persay, as we didn't really advertise them, and we were going over brand new arrangements mainly put together by our French hornist RB. But we still found places to safely distance and have a concert experience. Civita Park, pictured above, has a beautiful bandshell and built in amphitheater (minus the construction tape behind us blocking off some chairs), and Harry Griffin Park, pictured below, was a great secluded spot where kids and dogs could run around and enjoy the music!
Check in on our Facebook or Instagram pages to keep up to date on when our next open rehearsal is. Bring a picnic dinner and laugh along with us as we muddle through new arrangements!
