We had the opportunity to tour the historic Lafayette Hotel in University Heights recently, and were incredibly impressed by the style, class, and ambiance the hotel offers. Having a wedding at the Lafayette means stepping back in time to the roaring swing era of classic Hollywood, when big bands took the stage and movie stars mingled with the locals.

The Lafayette hasn't changed much since those grand days in terms of appearance and amenities, although there are many modern conveniences like flat panel TV's & event management lighting

There are rooms perfectly suited for kids with bunk beds, larger families that want a 3 bedroom oasis, and couples with a discerning taste that want that classy luxurious vibe!

For those wanting to have their wedding in a classic movie style, Lafayette has numerous options! From smaller meeting spaces that can be custom decorated, to the grand ballroom (with built in clam shell stage for your jazz band or big band), you're sure to be married in absolute style!

Overall, we were incredibly impressed by the property, it is a special place that is perfect for so many Hollywood themed events in San Diego. Our ensembles fit in perfectly with the ambiance, the glam, and history of the building, the jazz & swing will keep guests entertained and set the mood perfectly.
