When you live in San Diego, the outdoors provides year round beautiful wedding settings. This was the case this past Friday in Chula Vista, at the Otay Lakes area in a park called Mountain Hawk. Rolling hills, a pristine lake, and a beautiful outdoor amphitheater made this December wedding one to write about. There aren't many places in the US that you can do an outdoor wedding like this at the end of the year. Outdoor Wedding in San Diego The City of Chula Vista sits just south of San Diego, and stretches out far east to a set of lakes and rolling hills. Mountain Hawk Park is situated on the west side of the Lower Otay, and has a beautiful built in amphitheater. Decked with blue and white flowers, draperies, and other adornments, the space was turned into a outdoor cathedral. Our string trio provided music during the ceremony, including the processional music, background during various prayers, and the recessional. We then switched over to some pop covers while the family gathered for pictures and guests mingled. First Wedding Dance at the Pavilion After pictures, our couple came up while we were playing the string quartet version of Jason Mraz's I'm Yours, and started dancing behind us. We continued playing fun covers of pop covers until the remainder of the guests left. If you are considering hiring a string quartet or music ensemble for your wedding, look no further than Left Coast Music. We've played at several different San Diego wedding venues and we can make sure all of your live wedding music expectations are exceeded!
