Our string & harp trio headed to Mission Bay to play for a beautiful outdoor wedding at the Paradise Point Resort yesterday. The weather was perfect, overcast but still bright out, not hot but not cold, and all of the guests were happy to be there (so were we!) Our day started off checking out the reception site where we played after the ceremony, and setting up our string trio for the processional. The clients requested a harp/violin/cello trio, which is a beautiful option and provides many options for wedding ceremony music. During the wedding, the bride and groom had a special glass ceremony where guests when arriving added colored glass beads to a small container. The bride and groom added their own glass as well, which will all be infused to create a unique piece of art for their home. It was a great representation of two families coming together. Post wedding, our trio moved over to the patio for cocktail hour, where they played a wide variety of classical, light pop covers, and other tunes. The guests had access to a bar, passed h'ordeuvres, and vintage VW photobus. The trio received many compliments from passing guests! We ended our portion of the event turning everything over to the DJ - Ansom Productions, who provided dinner music and dancing. As we headed off, we got to witness the grand entrance of the new couple, who were surrounded by guests holding sparklers and cheering them on. It was really a beautiful day and we enjoyed being there!
