LCQ was honored to attend the spring wedding and event open house at Tom Ham's Lighthouse on Monday April 17th! We met so many couples that were touring the venue and are looking forward to returning with them to perform for their wedding ceremony and cocktail hour reception! I guess spring is just wedding open house time, as we have been to a lot of them lately. They are all fun and valuable in meeting new clients, networking with other professionals, and seeing updates to the venues we enjoy returning to. The open house is a great way for couples to envision how the event space can be set up and to meet a number of San Diego wedding vendors all at the same time. It helps that Tom Ham's Lighthouse catering also put out some yummy treats and had a few beverages available. What's even more fun is getting a table right next to some of the best bakers in San Diego, and trying not to indulge in all of the different flavors and goodies that they brought as samples! What makes Tom Ham's Lighthouse so special to us is the atmosphere of the venue, and the event staff that work there. LCQ is proud to be a preferred musician for weddings and events here, and we've been on their list for a number of years and have performed for many happy occasions. The site has a beautiful wedding ceremony garden, complete with a custom metal sculpture that perfectly frames the downtown skyline, and with views right on the San Diego bay overlooking the harbor. Wedding ceremonies are usually dotted with passing ships in the distance. The patio is perfect for receptions and cocktail hours, especially considering San Diego's perfect weather year round. Tom Ham's Lighthouse also boasts two banquet halls, a smaller space that holds around 80 people, and a larger room that has capacity for over 200, so weddings and events of all sizes will fit right in to the space. Parking is a breeze with their onsite lot, and guests have options of staying close by at the Hilton or Sheraton which are both walking distance. Overall, just a fun evening of enjoyable conversation and introductions between a number of great San Diego wedding pros and some awesome potential clients and their families. Can't wait to return!
